🔸️ Must have the continuous "Spirit-filled" Life! 🔸️
When Paul told the Ephesus Christians in Ephesians 5:18, he exhorted them to "be filled with the Spirit" even though they had already received the Holy Spirit. That means, they must be filled continually with the Spirit! Men and women who walk in the fullness of the Spirit are entitled to be called "Full of the Spirit". However, others must say that we are so filled with the Spirit and we should not testify ourselves! When Moses' face shone with the glory of God, others saw! But he didn't know it!! (Exodus 34:29,30).
To be filled with the Spirit means, to be filled with "the Spirit of Christ"! Therefore, others will know that we are filled with the Spirit only if we have the fruit of Christ's image in our lives! We do not need to testify this .... because the tone of our life is louder than the tone of our words!
There is no better explanation than Paul's statement in Galatians 2:20 to explain the spirit-filled life clearly. The interpretation of the verse is: "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me." What is the purpose of being filled with the Spirit, rather than creating the life of Jesus in us?
Therefore, the extent to which our own self-life is crucified and the life of Christ is revealed in us, is the true measure of the fullness of the Holy Spirit!
Prayer:
Dear Father! We know that the life of the "Spirit" is to be brought into the image of Christ .... Give us that real divine life! In the name of Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
