🔸️ Let our bodies be the perfect sacrifice for You! 🔸️
Because the "priests of Israel" degraded the word of God, the covenant of the Lord was tarnished (Malachi 2:1-9).
Judah had dealt treacherously and an abomination is committed in Israel for Judah had profaned the holiness of the Lord (Malachi 2:10-17). Thus, it is quite common for almost all the groups of believers to become the backbiters and gossiping with one another.
How many people can testify that they are faithful to their wives in inner thought Life!! If such abominations are still in the heart, what is the point of doing evangelism or “full-time ministry”? "What purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me?" Says the Lord (Isaiah 1:11). Also, "My soul hates your special appointed feasts, fasting prayers and piety meetings. All are fraud (verse 15). Wash you, make you clean, put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil (Verse 16); This is the Lord's calling today.
Jesus, who came as the messenger of the Lord of hosts, came as the "fire of the Refiner," to purify the congregation! (Mal. 3:1-3). He wants to purify us by His fire, just as silver and gold are purified by refining, through His word and the Holy Spirit, so that our offerings may be of justice. Therefore, the sacrifice that God desires from us today is "our body" (Romans 12:1). Yes, it is His favourite sacrifice! What does this mean? We are to be crucified with Christ, the members of our body can no longer be slaves to sin, but to die for sin and be slave to righteousness in order
to be resurrected with Him!!
We have to follow Jesus, carrying our crucifixion in this body of ours!!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father! I knew that nothing would please you! My body .... let the life that is purified by fire is your best sacrifice! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
