🔸️ We must examine ourselves daily and to live! 🔸️
The life of David, who prayed to God, "God, search my inner being;
find out what I am thinking! Find out whether there is anything evil in my inner being and lead me into Eternal life." (Psalm 139:23,24) is a life that must surely be for each of us. At the end of every day, every week, every month, every year.... it is a great privilege for us on this Earth to pray and to examine ourselves before God!
The philosopher Socrates once said, "One who lives a life of ignorance is the one who lives a depraved life!" He said very categorically. If it is necessary for that wise man to say this to ordinary worldly life, then how necessary it is for us to listen to the Holy Spirit's voice "examine and find yourself" for Eternal life! Yes, we must test ourselves daily before God.
Sin is sin in any form. This is "my" weakness! Nothing can be ignored by saying like this.... if you want, it is appropriate to say that they are your "secret sins"!! Apostle Paul said in a very stern voice, "the pride of yours is not good (saying 'this is my weakness')". Don’t you know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough? Expel the old yeast, in order that we may have a fresh batch of dough without yeast in it...." (1Corin.5:6,7).
Those whoever may proclaim themselves as true Christians can't hoard the "non-Christlike traits" at their back and live!
Prayer:
Our Loving Father! Give us daily the grace to test and remove any form of sin that may remain with us, in Your light! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
