🔸️ 'True' Repentance needed! 🔸️
The Bible says, "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (that is the lesson of ABC)." (Prov. 9:10). Proverbs 3:7 emphasising that our true fear of the Lord is to live "away from sin." So, anyone who repents and does not turn away from sin is the one who did not even learn the initial ABC lesson of the Christian life!
Are you have repented? If so, it's very important to make sure that your repentance is genuine. Because today Satan is deceiving "countless people" through the false repentance!
Satan is well aware that many people today are living on the basis of the courage to say, "You will not be caught by anyone." So, today Satan is teaching them all the tricks of how to sin(!?) without being caught by anyone. Even a thief, when he had been caught, he would be very sorry! But, it is not true repentance at all!!
We find in the Bible too, some examples of such false repentance. When King Saul disobeyed God, he confessed his sins to prophet Samuel. But he didn't want people to know about his transgression. Even at that critical moment, he was looking for the honour of the humans! Yes, he never achieved true repentance! Saul was grieved because he had been caught knowingly (1 Samuel 15: 24-30). But King David was completely different from Saul. When King David fell into sin, he repented by reporting the sins 'publicly'! (Psalm 51).
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father! You helped us to test whether our repentance is true. Thank you! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
