🔸️ We must not lose the value to be given for Eternity! 🔸️
A blind man threw away the thousand rupees which he got in his hand and folded a shiny piece of paper and kept safely which had no value! This was so, because the paper was so smooth to touch and was pleasing to him!! As he was blind, he was insensitive to the "true value". Likewise, a two-year-old child ignores a hundred rupee sheet and picks up a cheap toy. This child is also ignorant of the "true value." Because the child doesn't have the growth!!
Man spiritually blind when borne. That is why, each individual has lost the ability to compare what he considers 'worth' to Eternity. As a result, he devotes his time and energy in seeking the possessions, status and worldly pleasures which he values in this world and ruin himself. He does not have the slightest sense about the truth that the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:18 ".... what are seen (all) are temporary, but what are unseen (alone) are Eternal".
Lord Jesus saw the "feeling of being misunderstood" of the pious people of His day and rebuked them. He looked at them sadly and said, "If a man gains the whole world but loses his soul, it is of no gain to him."
Any human in this world must have the right relationship with God through Jesus Christ and find the value of Eternity! Otherwise, one day when he stands before the Lord who created him, he will be stunned by the fact that whatever he has accomplished and possessed from this Earth are "worthless"!! This is true.
Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father! Give us the grace to honour and reward the Eternal things pertaining to our souls! Help us to live with the feeling that all the gains of the world will not help! In the name of Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
