 "His Voice Today"

🔸️ Those who have 'God as their choice' in life are ever happy! 🔸️

David in his Psalm 27:4 said, "One prayer have I made to the Lord and this is my heart's desire, that I may have a place in the house of the lord all the days of my life; looking on His glory and getting wisdom in His temple!"

David is an Emperor. He has won numerous battles. Nevertheless, "Lord, I am not satisfied with these things. Only thing that I desire to ask to You! That desire does not mean that I must be the king of this entire World or that I should climb up the ladder of fame! On the contrary, I desired to be in the presence of the beauty of Your glory all my life!!" He pleaded. Is this "only desire" of David, be the will of our life?

I have heard of a poor widow who loved the Lord very much. The poor widow lived with her five children in a small hut. One man at the mother's house exclaimed, "You are always in full happiness and peace! How is it? You have not much money; Lot of problems you have; Your children get into sickness quite often; Nevertheless, they seems always happy! What's the secret of your pleasant life?" He asked. To this question, the poor widow replied with cheerful countenance, "Sir, Jesus Christ is everything to me! I need nothing else in this World except Him!!"

If the Lord Jesus becomes 'all things' to us, we too can enter into that widow's happiness!

Instead, if we are to blame even for a little suffering, it's a true fact that the Lord has not become our 'everything'. May the Lord Jesus becomes our 'everything' from today onwards! Only then we, like the Psalmist, can say, "Lord Jesus, I have no desire other than You on this Earth!" (Psalm 73:25).

Prayer:

Heavenly Father! Suffering does not overwhelm in our hearts, in Your fullness; 'whatever it may be, let it come,' but grant us the grace to live so that it can't rob Your joy! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
