🔸️ The unchanging love that God has for us! 🔸️
Once upon a time a servant of the Lord knew that a poor widow of his congregation was struggling to pay her house rent. He went to her home carrying a gift of enough money to pay off her entire balance rent. He knocked out the door of her house several times but the door did not open. The God's servant who stood for a long time and knocked on the door got no answer and he left!! A few days later he met that poor widow on a street. "Sister, I brought you enough money as a gift for your rent. But your house was locked. Though I kept on knocking the door, nobody opened it." The sister replied, "Oh i see, please forgive me! I was still in the house when you knocked out the door. I did not open the door for the fear that the house-owner might have come to get the rent."
You see, the Lord did not come to us to collect rent, but to give us all that He has. Like that, how foolish it is, not to open the door for Him! The bigger foolishness than this is that our whole life is still completely not devoted to Him!!
The nature of this love of God will never change. In all the historical events of the nation of Israel, God sought to make the Israelites aware of His "unchanging love for them." Because as per the Bible scriptures, God said to them, "I have loved you with an everlasting love" (Jeremiah 31:3; Deuteronomy 4:37).
In return, all He expects for His amazing everlasting love is "our love only"!(Deuteronomy 6:5).
Prayer:
Our Loving Father! Please be gracious upon us to remain in Your love so that we may never doubt your love! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
