🔸️ Forgive those who have wronged you! 🔸️
Jesus said, "If you don’t forgive others, your Father will not forgive your offenses." (Matthew 6:15).
Jesus when further emphasised this, He said, if we do not forgive others wholeheartedly, we will never be forgiven by God! Probably we may not be able to forget the deeds of others. But whenever we are tempted to remember the evil done by others, we can be sure that we will refuse to think of the evil!
At times, you may find it difficult to forgive someone who has caused you immeasurable harm. In those times, pray to God to help you to forgive that person. Then you will find and cherish for yourself that God gives you the will to forgive any person and the strength to fulfill it!
If we meditate a moment on the fact that God has forgiven millions of our sins for free, it will not be difficult for us now to forgive others as well. Satan catches us by his power only when we do not forgive anyone! That's why Paul wisely said "Forgive others so that Satan will not be able to take advantage of the problems among us and make the situation worse!"(2 Corinthians 2:10,11).
If you do not forgive your brother or sister, God will never hear your prayers. Scripture clearly states, "If I had ignored the sins that I had committed, the Lord would not have paid any attention to me" (Psalm 66:18). Have you noticed that it is not that God will not answer me, instead He will not even listen to me! Let us not deceive ourselves anymore!!
Prayer:
Dear Father! You have forgiven our 'countless' sins! Likewise, help us to sincerely and completely forgive those who have done evil to us! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
