🔸️ "Divine Grace" is God's helping hand 🔸️
The strength of temptation can be overcome only by the strength of God's Grace.
The Law came through Moses. But Grace came through Jesus Christ.(John 1:17). Under the Law (the Old Covenant), though the people struggled hard in their hearts, they always met failures. Saul, from the city of Tarsus, lived perfectly on the external standards of the Law of God (Philippians 3: 6), but he was powerless before the lusts that arise from "heart" (Romans 7:7-11). Yes, the Law could not free people from the lusts of the heart. This Law was not appointed for that! Yes, the Law was given to recognize man's inherent sin and his compulsion to be free from the lusts of his heart!!
But the good news of the New Covenant through Jesus Christ is that whichever is impossible with the Law is possible with the Grace! "The forgiveness of our sins, though we are unworthy" is not alone God's grace. But His Grace is much greater than this! Grace is the strength of God!! Yes, notice that in 2 Corinthians 12:9, Grace is said to be equal to strength! This strength or this power gives us the helping hands in our tribulations!! (Hebrews 4:16).
Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father! We have found that your grace is the "help of God's strength!" Thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for granting us grace in our tribulations!! Amen.
