 "His Voice Today"

May 12

🔸️ Devotional life, belongs to those who thirst for it! 🔸️

In order to receive the completeness of the Holy Spirit, in John 7:37, we read that Jesus said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink". Yes, a non-thirsty person can never get close to Jesus. One does not need any of the qualities of this world to draw close to Jesus. Perhaps you are one of the most trivial great sinner in this world. But if you have an insatiable thirst for Jesus, you will get closer to Him!

For what thirst? To be well, to have money, to have good education for children, to have a good standard of living, to have a good career .... There are plenty of people on this Earth who are thirsting for such worldly things. Jesus never look at them and say, "Come to me!" Rather, Jesus called those who were thirsty for the power of the Holy One, who brings holiness and righteousness in their lives.

Thus, how many people today are thirsting for an upright and righteous life? How many people are thirsty in paying out their income honestly? How many people are thirsty for life that is not indebted to any human being? How many people are thirsty enough to be hundred percent honest about money matters? How many people are so thirsty that they shouldn't even harm someone with their speech or actions? When a man's life is hunger for all these facts, he is blessed! He will surely be satisfied (Matthew 5:6).

This verse is the formula of the kingdom of heaven for us to attain to God's righteousness! As a proportion, we can inherit God's justice only as much as we are thirsty. So how holy are you? The answer to this question depends on how much you are thirsty for holy life!

 Prayer:

Heavenly Father! Like all human beings, let not we thirst for the Earth, bless us to be satisfied with your holiness and righteousness and be "satisfied"! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
