🔸️ We need God's Mind! 🔸️
When Jesus looked at Peter, He rebuked him and said, "You do not have the thinking that suits God" (Mark 8:33). Like Peter, many of the brothers and sisters living in this world are in the same position. They are seeking God, praying to Him and like to attain into the salvation. But their growth is "not having in mind the wishes of God, but merely occupying with humans wishes”. It is stagnant with "backward stunted thinking"!
"What are the thoughts of humans?" Write down them on a piece of paper. Read your list often and come into the light of knowing the “thoughts of humans!" By doing so, it will definitely help you to know the position of your self!!
How much we know the position of our self, that much, we can free ourselves from it!
It is very imperative for us to look at how horrible the "thoughts pertaining to humans" are. This is because, such thinking will lead us to act against God. Thus we, who ought to act for the salvation of our souls, are hindering our own salvation!
The thoughts of God are in stark contrast to the thoughts of men. For example, Jesus' words, "He who humbles himself will be exalted" (Matt. 23:12), reveals to us God's thinking that "we must humble ourselves." Thus, if we humble ourselves according to His zealous thinking, He will surely lift us up, even if we do not ask Him to lift us up!
Prayer:
Our Loving Father! Help us to live knowing more of "Your Mind" and not to waste ourselves on human thinking. Especially give us the "mind of humility" that Jesus had! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
