"His Voice Today"
May 23
🔸️ Our words that speak without listening to Lord's word are in vain! 🔸️
If we are to be a strong witness to our Lord, it is very important to sit at His feet every day and listen to His voice. Many who are eager to preach today are not accustomed to hearing God's voice! Because of this, there arise famine for "the word of the Lord". The words of men that causing illness are abounding and causing great deal of tragic consequences. Today very few servants of God have the privilege of saying, "The word of the Lord is with him" (2 Kings 3:12).
No man has the right to speak the matters of God without first taking the time to listen to "what God says!" Whether it be private witnessing or public speaking, he does not have this right!
It is written that "Moses went before Lord's presence and then spoke to the Israeli people what God taught to him" (Exodus 34:34)! Joshua was told by God to meditate on the Word of the Lord day and night, so that he might be careful to do everything written in it. Then he would be prosperous and successful! (Joshua 1:3). Samuel is also a good example in this regard. He, with great patient waited and asked, "Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening!" He listened to the word of the Lord and then spoke to the people!
According to the verse in Isaiah 50:4 concerning Lord Jesus, we read as "Each morning he awakens me, in order that I may listen to what He teaches me..." As a result, we find the privilege that Jesus got, as this verse further states, "Jesus was always ready to encourage those who are weary, with His wise Word, as per the situation".
Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father! Because we do not come near You to hear Your word, there is a great famine for Your Word, through us today! Help us to repent and live! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
