🔸️ The humble mindset of Christ is needed! 🔸️

The first condition in spiritual life is to humble ourselves. The Word of God says this Philippians 2:5-8 "Let the mindset of Christ Jesus be upon you…..by taking the very nature of a servant ....He humbled himself".

We can be proud of many things. Our merits and the popularity we have gained could make us proud. Was Jesus "popular" when He lived on Earth? Isaiah 53:3 says "He was despised and rejected by men". Yes, on this Earth, our Lord Jesus was never seen as a 'popular' man. While Jesus mentioned about that, He said in Luke 6:26, "when most people speak well about you, trouble is ahead for you; it will not prove that you are God's servants". While our Master is such a humble person, "the disciple is no more higher than the Master!". Therefore, we have no right to seek to become famous.

Likewise, we can take pride in our educational qualifications! We can be proud about our beauty! We can be of pride about our talent! We can be proud of our ancestors! But our Lord Jesus was not proud of these matters. When we read the verses of John 7:15, Isaiah 52:14, John 5:19, 30, and Matthew 1st chapter we can understand this.

We can be proud of the house we built! But the Bible says that "the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.” Jesus, our Lord, was a slave to all mankind! Are people sitting at the table? Or people serving on the table? Who is the greatest of these? The one who sits at the table is the greatest! "But I was the one serving you!" Jesus said. At the night of the betrayal of the Lord Jesus, in the upper chamber, He wrapped a towel around His waist and washed the feet of His disciples! Not even any of the disciples not bothered to perform this degrading slave job!! We all need to have the mindset of this Master!

 Prayer:

Heavenly Father! We are far from the humility of our Master, Jesus! Bless us to learn to repent and to be humble; In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
