🔸️ Youths! Make use of your time! 🔸️

In Genesis 43:1,2 Jacob told his sons to go to Egypt to buy grains because of the famine. Whenever there is a famine, we must go to those who were wise before the famine! During those first 7 prosperous years, Joseph acted wisely and stored grains. So everyone who was lazy in their prosperous days now need to come to Joseph. "You lazy individual, learn from watching the ants! See how it gathers the food it needs in the summer before the rainy season," the Bible wisely tells us.

We can compare this truth to spiritual life as well. Take advantage of this youthful opportunity to study the Word of God and gain spiritual riches! Then, when the problems of life engulfs you so many years later that you won't have much time to meditate on the Scriptures, you will find the privilege of giving you the wisdom you need to protect yourself "then". In these good times, the wisdom you gather from God's Word will not only make you completely satisfied, but you will be rich enough to share it with others!

I would like to give my testimony on this. All the scriptures I know today are the result of my personal research study of the Bible that I have studied over the years, from the age of 19 when I repented and until the age of 28 when I got married. I never went to Bible College. On the contrary, during my leisure time when I was working in the Indian Navy, I sat at the feet of Jesus and learned the Scriptures. Thus my habit of studying the scriptures have kept me away from many trials. This period ... that is my unmarried youth period was the period of flourishing.

  Prayer:

Our heavenly Father! Give us the grace "to get ride off laziness" in our favourable lonely time; give us the grace to abide in You and to preserve your scriptures within us in abundance!! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, amen.
