🔸️ God's will must be fulfilled in our lives! 🔸️

There is a firm reason why Acts 13:22 says that David was "found fit for My heart"! The reason is that he had 'the will of God' as his greatest desire and longed to fulfill it! David referred to this in his Psalms and said, "O my God, I delight to do what you desire"(Psalm 40:8).

David was not a perfect man. He has committed many sins. God punished him so harshly that a few of those sins were so bad. Even so, God forgave him completely and loved him too!! It is because of "his desire to do all the will of God in his life." So, no matter how much lower the standard of our living, we too can become men and women fitting for God's heart!

What do we need to do for that? Like David, our whole heart must be 'diverted' to do the Lord's will!!

The New Testament emphasizes that "we are imitators of the Lord Jesus Christ, just as He walked also" (1John 2:6). The doctrine that was a guiding source for the whole life of Jesus Christ was "only to do the will of His Father." He would not go anywhere until His father tells Him something. But when He went to carry out His Father's will, neither the threat of His enemies nor the compassionate requests of His friends couldn't stop Him. Yes, His daily meal was to do the will of His Father (John 4:34). Just as a man longing for food to nourish his body, Jesus desired to accomplish the will of the One who sent him!

We, the believers must have the same 'hungry' that Jesus had, in order to accomplish the full will of God in our lives!

Prayer:

Our heavenly Father!  

Give us the privilege of accomplishing Your will in our life, just as David and our Lord Jesus did!! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
