🔸️ Do not judge others 🔸️
Scripture says that "judging" is not God's usual work, and that "judging" is His "unusual strange deed" (Isaiah 28:21). But, this trait is completely the opposite for us humans! Yes, it is our regular job to judge others. This is where Satan pours his venom deep into us. In Isaiah 61:2, we read, "The Lord Jesus was anointed to proclaim the blessed year and to proclaim a day of God's anger against their enemies." We know from Romans 11:22 that God is gracious and merciful. But Isaiah chapter 61 reveals to us the proportions of His kindness and sternness. That ratio is not 50:50, but 365:1!! You see, we are called to have the possession of this gentle nature of God.
How many of us have realized that we may have "unknowingly" offended others, acted unkindly to others, and disturbed others by way of letter? Do we realize that those who have suffered through us have not answered a single word and endured them patiently?
Yes, let us ask God to show us the glory of the Lord Jesus again in greenness! In that bright light, we can see the selfishness, the insubordinate trait, the self-will, the pride, and the hard-heartedness that judge others are deeply rooted within our flesh! Only if we find ourselves doing so, we can fell our facedown in front of Him, to repent and to grieve! If this happens in our life, we can put a complete stop for blaming and judging others!!
Let us not rest in purifying ourselves, until we reach the "holy standard of Jesus" (1John 3:3). If indeed this is our goal, then by the time the Lord returns, we will never be ashamed and retreat!!
Prayer:
Our Loving Father! Please be gracious upon us to change the deadly hard heart that judges others and give us the grace to live with gentleness with others! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
