🔸️ Must have the good mental attitude as per God's will! 🔸️
Why do we read the Bible? "Through that what blessing can we get?" This mental attitude is found in many Christians. Further many have the quest 'of becoming Bible Scholar' as their mental attitude! Very few people read the Bible with the intention of knowing the will of God through the scriptures and then fulfilling it and glorifying God in their lives!!
What do we pray for? At most we pray "for our special blessings"! There are very few believers who pray with the longing that the ministry of the Lord to flourish in the Nation and that His name to be glorified. We could even have fasting and pray!...
But, have we ever explored our purpose as to what purpose we are fasting for?
If we had retrospect ourselves, we would have observed that the motive was to get "what we wanted." Perhaps our desire may be even a spiritual desire to be "filled with the Holy Spirit." But even the mental attitude of 'that' wish would be the selfish purpose of "I must be used mightily by the Lord"... and it's not the broad-hearted purpose to enrich God's ministry through anyone!! Even though what we seek is good, the selfishness we see in it, is selfish!!
What do we sing for? Many gifted singers sing "solos". But how many of them are sincere and can say, "I did not seek any glory for myself, but I only seeking the glory of the Lord!" Can we say that? Let us repent to the mind where our intentions are perfectly reformed!
Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father! Our selfish mental attitude is involved in our good spiritual activities too... Please give us the mental attitude as per God's will! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
