 "His Voice Today"

September 15

🔸️ Sit at Jesus' feet every day and listen to His voice! 🔸️

Sitting at one's feet is a symbol of humility. Mary sat in a lower position, not sitting in a chair equal to Jesus. God never talks to a proud man. But He is always ready to speak to those who humble their soul like a child before Him!(Matthew 11:25). Those who have learned to sit, will also subdue. This is the state of mind that a disciple has before his master. The nature of submission revealed only by our obedience to the Word of God!

God does not speak to us through His Word to satisfy our curiosity or to give us some intellectual information. He speaks to us in order to obey Him. We can know God’s will only if we have the intention of “doing God’s will”. Lord Jesus made it clear in John 7:17.

Many Christians today reading the Bible for years together continuously, without interest in knowing what God wants to say to them through the Scriptures! It is enough for them, if they have a satisfaction in reading the Bible!! Do you hear the voice of the Lord every day when you read the Bible? If not, what is the reason? The Lord certainly speaks to those who listening Him carefully! To be so, what keeps your spiritual ears closed? Is it because you failed to sit before Him?..... Is it because of your not having humble spirit?.... Is it because of the guilty you disobeyed for what He has already spoken to you?..... Whatever it is, God wants immediate and permanent atonement for all of them! After you have corrected this atonement before God, you can also pray Samuel's prayer "Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening!" Then, turn your Bible and seek the face of the Lord eagerly and now you too will hear His voice; surely you will hear!!

Prayer:

Our Heavenly Father! Give us the grace to sit at your feet eagerly; give us the grace to listen your voice and to live in obedience always! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
