🔸️ Our conscience is like the "Eye"! 🔸️

Matthew 6:22, 23 says, "The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness". Jesus said that the conscience within us as "the eye". If there is any dust fallen in our eye, immediately we leave all our important works and try to pick up that dust. If any small particle of the dust remain in our eyes, there is chance for our eyes becoming blind! So God naturally created a liquid called 'tear' on the top of the eye to wash our eyes continuously. Jesus insisted that we should guard our conscience just like this eye.

I should never allow any fault between me and God as the dust that remain in my eyes (conscience). If something like that happens to me, I have to confess them immediately and repent. Otherwise the faults will remain in my eyes as dust and make me spiritually blind!

Nowadays even though believers are doing many things against God's will, their conscience seems to be as though they didn't have done nothing against God's will. This shows that their conscience was not accustomed by the quality of God's Word. We must be accustomed to our conscience according to the quality of God's Word.

For example, in James 4:11 he said, "Brothers, do not speak ill of one another." The conscience of some tend to warn them when they speak ill against their brothers. Thus, to those who have trained their conscience according to the quality of God's Word, the advice “keep not even the bitter jealousy in your heart”

(James 3:14) was given. So, it is important that how much we are trained in our conscience.

Prayer:

Our Heavenly Father! As 'even the smallest dust' irritating our eyes, give us your grace to grow in the quality of your Scriptures and to train our conscience accordingly! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
