🔸️ Let us abound in love! 🔸️

Lord Jesus Christ combined the Ten Commandments into two. The first commandment is, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind." The second commandment is, "Love your neighbour as yourself." (Matthew 22:37). Jesus referred this second commandment as the New Commandment, commanding His disciples to "love each other; just as I have loved you, you should love each other" (John 13:34).

A true disciple of Jesus, longing to live God-centered life. He will never have any ambition or desire for himself in contradiction to the will that God has for his life. Thus, this disciple who lives God-centered life, will love his brethren unconditionally, just as Jesus loved him! The care that we have for our brothers is termed as our love for them.

We cannot care for everyone in this World! Only God has such strength to do that. But we must show concern for our fellow believers, based on our ability. In this way, our care-taking for others must be increased gradually. To begin with, just as Jesus loves us, we should love our family members. Then we should not stop with this and we must grow in loving our brothers and sisters in God's family!!

Perfection means just moving forward to reach the goal! It was with this determination Paul went on to say, "I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us" (Phil.3:13,14).

1) In a God-centered life we are blameless, loving Him above all else and then 2) Just as Jesus loves us, so also we should love our fellow believers and others; These two laws of love that God has before us, are the Heavenly calling!

Prayer:

Our heavenly Father! Give us the grace to grow in the love to begin with our family and to love our fellow believers in the congregation, as we love You! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
