🔸️ Our attitude of 'attracting people' must change! 🔸️
Jesus had no apparent charm to attract men. Likewise, it is to be found in ourselves and in our churches today. We should never entice people to come to us because of the beauty of the building, the miracle, the sermons of the pulpit (Luke 16:15). We should make the people to come closer to us only by Godly devotion. So now, we have the assurance that all who are with us are only fond of godliness.
The score for the melodious nice songs to build the kingdom of God, is "zero!" None of the Apostles were singers. However, they were the ones who had revolutionized the world!
The melodious songs found in the Christian world today, have become a substitute for the holy spirit! What a great loss it is! Singing talent is a human standard. People who do not repent also have this ability. We are not the oppositors for singing or playing an instrument. If God gives you these things, use it generously. "But" because of the musical instrument and nice singing of everyone, it is foolish to think that our praises are much pleasing to God! God always sees our hearts.
Do you know what is going on, often? While everyone is singing nicely, some brothers and sisters have the feel of "grumbling" within themselves! Ah .... the rhythm is changing in the inner part, this is what God is hearing for!! Those who sit with the human mind only are enjoying your tasteful melodies!
Similarly, in today's Christian world, there are so many prayers and sermons .... with attractive wordings and acting with hands stretching here and there. For what? Everything is just to impress these men! But all these things are disgusting in the sight of God!!
Prayer:
Heavenly Father! Forgive us, for we lived not pleasing you, but did the ministry and lived for the sight of men. Be gracious to live before You, God! In the name of Lord Jesus, Amen.
