🔸️ No 'idol' in our hearts, but only God must be! 🔸️

In the Old Testament, idols were made of transparent wood or gold or silver. But in the New Testament, "worldly ideals, missions, or even a wife or children" are the most cunning idols occupying in our life. All of the above can easily take the first place in man's life and put God down in second place!

One can easily give up evil! But many of us today, could not taste the truth that God wants us to leave such Earthly benefits!

We all know that Ishmael was an antagonist to the will of God. When God told Abraham to send this Ishmael, Abraham did just that. Then Abraham did not see Ishmael for the rest of his life. This is like living with a good conscience and hating what is bad. But it was a severe test when God asked Abraham to offer Isaac, his only-begotten son, which God gave, as a sacrifice like a burnt offering.  

The exam for a pure heart is to give up the goodness that one is entitled to get it. Even spiritual services such as preaching, teaching or ministering, can become an idol! When God says to leave them .... many are reluctant to do so. This test came to Abraham. But Abraham overcame this ordeal in Mount Moriah!

Today, some people lose their joy when they lose their money somehow. This show makes it clear that their happiness is on money. But God wants to lead us into a life of complete happiness only in Him. Thus, only those who have God as their happiness and who put Him first and foremost in their live are pure-hearted!

 Prayer:

Heavenly Father! We know that you love a pure heart that have no other likings but only You. Please be gracious to live leaving away from 'idol'! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
