 "His Voice Today"

🔸️ Let our life must shine as the light of Lord Jesus! 🔸️

In John 1:4, the life within mankind is referred to as shine or light. This verse emphasis Jesus is the foundation of "Life" as in Him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. In this world of darkness, "the life of Jesus" is called as light. If the life or light of Jesus can enter into me and govern my ways of life, I too can now be a light for this world. Listen Lord Jesus's saying that "I am the light of the World" (John 8:12) and then He looked back at His disciples and said "You are the light of the world"!

It is said that "the lamp is not covered with the bowl" because today many are hesitant to publicly confess in their places that they are a disciple of Jesus and hide the light they have received. "Bushel" is the "measuring instrument" used for business. That is, we must never conceal the life of our witness in our business place or workplace!  

Similarly in our house, the lamp should be placed on the lamp stand! Our pure witness for following Christ should shine publicly in our home. Thus wherever we go, the light of Jesus' life should shine. Here again the "quality" is emphasized for the radiance of light. For example, a 100 watts bulb in the home is small. However, the power of its brightness illuminates too a large room. So, Jesus repeatedly emphasized the quality of life and not the quantity!!

 Prayer:

Heavenly Father! Wherever we are, please make your light shine in our lives! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
