 "His Voice Today"

🔸️ We can conquer the desires of the eyes with the grace of God! 🔸️

Lord Jesus spoke about fornication from Matthew 5:27. "You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to stumble, throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell" (Verses 27-29). Look at what Jesus said categorically about hell in the Sermon on the Mount! Jesus warned that if a person gives way to disgusting thoughts in his mind and eventually sins with his eyes, or commits sexual immorality with his hands, his whole body will be thrown into hell.

How many people today still believe the verses of this warning? Many today think that God will not do what He saying. But listen to the words of Jesus' warning in John 12:48, "Whoever rejects me and does not accept my words, the same word I have spoken will judge him in the last day."  

'If your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away,' Jesus compared it to "looking at a woman lustfully." This man did not touch the woman or approach her in any way. What he saw with lust, made him stumble in sin! Jesus emphasized the quality of such high holiness in the New Testament.

You might say... "These are all very high quality; a man can never live like this." Yes, you are right. It's not possible for human beings, but the Grace and the power of the Holy Spirit are necessary to live according to this high quality! For this reason, it is imperative that we must go to Mercy seat and ask for God's grace. One who thus receives this grace will find the truth that "His grace is sufficient for all." This grace is definitely enough to overcome any dirty visions and any dirty fights!!

Prayer:

Our Heavenly Father! Holiness is our desire... please grant us your grace to conquer the sin of the eyes! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
