🔸️ In the same house, one person could be accepted and the other could be forsaken! 🔸️
Two children who grew up in the same home, in the same living conditions and with the same teaching about the true God! Even so, the end of their lives was completely different from each other!! When Lord Jesus returns for His bride, He gave a caution that even if there are two in the same bed, one can be taken away and the other forsaken. Even if two are united in one church, one can be accepted and the other one can be rejected!
When we see that everything is going well for someone to whom we are very close, how is our attitude? We also see 'that brother' always preaching victory over sin! In fact, we couldn't find any slightest trace of anxiety, anger, or impatience in that brother's life! Instead, we see the continuous growth of success and happiness in his life!!
But alas, in direct contrast to this, do we find that our lives are miserable; do we surrounded by the smoke of anxiety or do we stumble into the abyss of failure; It's so, as we do not believe that we can live a successful life in this world?
Isn't the root of jealousy slowly creeping into us 'now'? Are we curious about the downfall of that brother somewhere, in order to rejoice in his failures? Are we filled with the desire to somehow pull down that brother in front of some people? Let us know the truth... This is the spirit of evil that seeks to destroy us!!
While possessing this abominable spirit, we also say to ourselves, "I am part of the body of Christ"! This attitude of ours is definitely not the spirit of Christ at all! Rather than sinking into the mire, the sooner we must feel this "odor of ugliness", that's good for us!
Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father! Please be gracious on us not to be forsaken and bless us not to be jealous with our brothers and sisters! In the name of Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
