🔸️ Not the boon, those who have the fruits of life are spiritual 🔸️
Paul referred to the Corinthians and lamented, "I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly" (1 Corinthians 3:1). We read in 1Corinthians 1:5,7 that in spite of their depraved spiritual condition, they were 'perfect in the knowledge of the Scriptures, in the doctrine teachings and enriched with spiritual gifts'. Although they had these three superior gifts, they were not spiritual!!
Today only few believers have the ability to identify that even someone who is thus a powerful preacher, a scholar of biblical knowledge and who works miraculous spiritual gifts may not be a "spiritual man"! As Paul pointed out, those with so many wonderful ministries could be "completely live in flesh"!
The following three characteristics make us clear as to what makes a man "true spiritual man." He is the one who looks upwards; One who sees the internal; one who sees the external! Yes, a spiritual man must be a constant observer of these "three directions"!
1) Upward Direction: Will be full of meditation and worship about God and Christ.
2) Inner Direction: He will constantly repent for his private life, which is not like Christ!
3) External direction: "How can I help the people around me? How can I bless them?" He will seek that continuously! There is no doubt that a person with such a life will definitely find a fruitful life!!
Prayer:
Our Heavenly Father! Forgive us who, without a fruitful life, are satisfied in the outward life with a desire for gifts; Transform us into spiritualists! In the name of Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
