🔸️ The Cross of Jesus is like that of the sacrifice offered to fire! 🔸️

Do we really accept the "Cross" that the Lord Jesus proclaimed to His followers? If so, then this Cross teaches us the message "We must die"! Yes, when the wheat grain falls to the ground, it is crushed underfoot... and in the end, its shiny outer skin scratches and it breaks!! That wheat grain is no longer has its own beauty!! In the same way, a believer who takes up his Cross and following Jesus, doesn't look attractive to this World... this World will ignore him! Perhaps more charming could be found in him 'before the Cross'. But now 'after the Cross' he doesn't have that beauty. Like his Lord, he would be ignored and rejected by men!!

Just as in the Old Testament days the sacrifice placed on the altar was burnt to ashes by fire, now the 'Cross of Christ' is bringing a man to death!! This is the meaning of life with true devotion to its Lord; There is no change in this. Thus anyone who has sacrificed his life will be burnt by the fire of God... This fire will lead that soul to live only for God, not for himself or for the World.

According to Galatians 6:14, he would have died to this World! This World would have died for him too!! But Christendom of today refuses to accept this message because it speaks only of a superficial commitment. However, the Savior's call to "take up one's Cross" is the true dedication that pleases God. Any offering or sacrifice that didn't consume fire on the altar was not accepted by God in the Old Testament!

We could have been given ourselves to Him to receive His blessings... But, have we given ourselves to the way of this Cross for us to die? This is the true Christianity!

Prayer:

Our Heavenly Father! We wholeheartedly dedicate ourselves to the way of the Cross that the Lord Jesus showed us to surrender ourselves completely to God as a fire sacrifice; in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
