 "His Voice Today"

October 6

🔸️ Through the canals of sufferings we could bless many! 🔸️

Amy Carmichael, a native of Dohnavur, South India, wrote some of the most wonderful books and poems while she had been bedridden. If that mother had been with good health, she would not have written these books and poems! Yes, Christ can be glorified in our healthy flesh and in the "flesh that is constantly having thorn” (Philippians 1:20).

Therefore, we must consider the sorrows and tribulations that we face as wonderful opportunities to humble ourselves before God and before men. Yet, let us not cry for ourselves! Instead, we should be as said in Psalm 62:8, "You my people, always trust in Him. Tell Him all your troubles, because He is our refuge, the one who protects us!" Yes, "the Lord is nearer to you, when your heart is nearly to be broken"

(Psalm 34:18).

Only when we cross the valley of weeping, God could turn it into a fountain of blessing for others! (Psalm 84:6). You see, just as God comforted and thrilled us with the water of life from Heaven in the midst of our suffering... now God has changed us in order to share the same water of life with those surrounding us!!

God has promised us that in one day He will wipe away all our tears. No grief after that! No harassment! There is no death! No crying! No pain!..... because all the previous ones are gone away now!! We are now longing for that new Heaven and for that new Earth, where our Father always will dwell with us! (Rev. 21:1-4).

The prayer "Lord Jesus, come soon" is the heavy blowing sound which is longing in our hearts!!

Prayer:

Our heavenly Father! Bless us not to sink in the sorrows of our sufferings; give us the grace to bless many with the comfort and divine nature that we have learnt in our sufferings! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
